All my bags are packed
I’m ready to go … 🙂
I’m so excited to begin the first leg of my annual summer road trip today! Driving on an open freeway [not gunna happen in California] with the best tunes from Amazon Music beating through the speakers is my idea of an enjoyable way to travel. I’d choose to drive over flying most times. There’s just something completely meditative about it to me! Am I the only one? My husband loathes driving.
Last year I traveled from California to Kansas, via car, with the pugs in tow. I took the southern route to Kansas, then enjoyed a northern drive from Kansas to Utah, and finally back to California. This year, I’m doing things in reverse. My first stop is Las Vegas to visit my sister, Kenzie. From there, the pugs and I are trekking north to Utah where we’ll stay for the better part of a week. As soon as I return from Utah, I fly to Kansas for a hot minute. I’ll be able to see both my dad and mom before my youngest sister and I road trip to Las Vegas to meet up with Kenzie. We’ll be driving through Colorado and I’m looking forward to the gorgeous scenery almost as much as I am the conversation. 😉
Traveling Workout Plans
While I’m gone, I’m going to fit in as much exercise as possible. I feel better if I’m able to move my body each day! Here’s what my tentative schedule looks like:
- Monday: Workout w/ Kenzie in her garage (I’ll post the workout we do in Instagram)
- Tuesday: CrossFit at Wasatch CrossFit
- Wednesday: CrossFit at Wasatch CrossFit + Stand Up Paddle Boarding
- Thursday: CrossFit at Wasatch CrossFit
- Friday: CrossFit at Wasatch CrossFit
- Saturday: Level 1 CrossFit Training (!!) at CrossFit Spearhead
- Sunday: Level 1 CrossFit Training (!!) at CrossFit Spearhead
- Monday: Rest
- Tuesday: Hot Power Flow at Satya Moon Yoga
- Wednesday: Hotel Room Yoga Stretching
- Thursday: Gym Hotel Circuit + Yoga
- Friday: Up in the air! Not sure where I’ll be yet – maybe a rest day, workout in Kenzie’s garage, or a drop-in CF or yoga class somewhere in Vegas
I’m off to hit the shower and gather the last few things I’m taking. Hope you have a wonderful Sunday!
