Helllllo, friends! Happy Monday!
It’s been a busy few days over here. How was your weekend?
Lets start where we left off, shall we?
Friday, the girls and I went to CF at 9am. The workout was three rounds, 2:00 minutes, 1:00 minute and 30 seconds cycling through the following exercises:
- sled drive
- hand release pushups
- supine to standing rope climbs
- Roman twists
- jack knives
It was challenging! Two minutes is a long damn time to do anything, but particularly push a sled!
After CF we ran some errands and had lunch at Slackwater. It was a low-key afternoon followed up with homemade chicken pot pie for dinner! (OMG, it was the best!)
Saturday I woke up bright and early and attended the first day of the CrossFit Level 1 Seminar. It was fabulous! Our workout was challenging and we did somewhere around 300 air squats when we were practicing the movements. To say my quads are sore today is an understatement! It’s a challenge to lower myself down with control. 😉
Sunday, I finished the second day of the seminar and came back to Layton to hang out with Ashley one last time while waiting for Melissa to get off work. We had Drunken Noodles for dinner. Melissa had just worked 12 hours, and I was exhausted, so it was take out to the rescue!I’m currently relaxing on Melissa’s couch with a cup of coffee, trying to find the energy to get up and pack the car. The pugs and I are heading back to California today! I’m excited to see my husband for a hot minute before taking off for Kansas tomorrow.
My time in Utah was wonderful, and exactly what I was needing! I’m feeling recharged. I’m so grateful that I had the opportunity to pick up and leave.
I hope you all have a fabulous week! Wish me luck on my drive home today!
Jess
