Happy Monday, Internet world! I hope you had a great weekend! Our’s was low key and exactly what I was craving! Here’s a rundown:
Friday
I did some things around the house and went to the noon class at CrossFit No Boundaries. Directly after CF, I stayed around because we had Coaches Prep Course, which is a course the owner put together for anybody interested in becoming a coach at CFNB. We’ve been meeting since the beginning of May, and I feel like this month has really started pulling everything together!
After I got home from CF and CPC, we loaded the dogs into the truck and drove to Los Rios District to get some iced coffee from Hidden House Coffee. It’s less than a mile from our house, but we wanted to get the dogs out and they definitely can’t hang for a mile! Zoe was pretty much done after about 10 minutes of being out.
Friday evening I totally didn’t want to cook, so we had date night at home! We got take-out from Ciao Pasta (if you’re local, I highly recommend this place!), some wine and rented two movies. It was a wonderfully relaxing evening! I snapped some pics of our food to send to my sisters, but the quality is too shitty to upload. 😉 I had the Ciao Pasta while A had spaghetti and meatballs.
Saturday
We slept in! I’m usually up sometime during the 6 o’clock hour and it makes Anthony crazy. He was so elated when he woke me up at 8:50 with coffee. He was like, “Do you have any idea what time is it?! We slept in!” Haha. It’s the simple things, truly!
He did a bit of work while I read … or tried to read. Lucy had another idea of what she wanted me to be doing.
I heated up leftover enchiladas for lunch. They were better than they were Thursday night!
Late afternoon we ventured out for coffee, yet again. This time we stopped at a French place in town called O Gourmet. I didn’t snap any pics there, but I did get some at our next stop: Docent Brewing! We enjoyed some brew while playing various games together. We played Connect Four for about 30 minutes. It was Anthony’s first time playing and he loved it!
Grandpappy is the best beer they have, IMO!
A talking to his dad, enjoying a ‘Canteen’ beer.
We wrapped things up at Docent and made our way to Costco. We were taking our time when we realized they were trying to close. We hurried out, stopped by the regular grocery store, and grilled steak for dinner. The rest of the night Anthony taught me a few things about SEO and he worked while I read.
Sunday
It was another leisurely morning for me! I walked the dogs, had coffee and breakfast, unloaded the dishwasher and did a bit of computer stuff. I emailed some clients and before I knew it, we were heading to Whole Foods to get some lunch. Actually, we went to Whole Foods hoping to get some organic breakfast sausage + this hazelnut creamer that A loves, but they didn’t have either thing we went for! I hadn’t been to WF for 3+ months, and I gotta say, I didn’t miss it. It’s not too far from us—maybe 20 minutes on a good traffic day—but it’s just not worth it to me to make the drive for the few things I used to have to get there. Our local grocery store, Ralph’s, has a great line of organic products and Costco has stepped up their organic food game, too. I feel like Whole Foods might be phasing out … although, I hear Amazon takes over today! Perhaps slashed prices will make me wanna go?
ANYWAY, lunch was fab. I had this goodness and we shared the berries for dessert. There’s a bed of spinach and arugula underneath everything else ya see there. 😉
On our way home we stopped by South Coast Farms to get some veggies for the next few days.
We took a nap, worked on our computers, I talked to my sisters and Melissa, and we enjoyed the rest of the leftover enchiladas while watching Game of Thrones.
I’m feeling rested and ready to tackle the week! I hope your weekend was everything you needed it to be!
